HI Chris, Creating a group with update capabilities will get you the functionality that you are looking for. As these groups have advanced editing capabilities, you require specific privileges to be able to create these types of groups. Additionally, you need to enable this capability when you create the group, it can't be enabled after the group has been created. I'd suggest creating a new group to see if the capability appears. If it doesn't, chat with your administrator about giving you this privilege. -Kelly

Hi Christopher, I'd suggest getting in contact with Tech Support. It looks like there could be some issues with this specific dataset and you are using a work around for an issues with relationships, so it's probably best to get an analyst to work with you and the data. What version of ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro are you using? -Kelly

Hi Bill, Currently the two options available are to use subtypes, or cascading questions within Survey123. Subtypes, add this capability at the layer level, but there is no client that currently hides fields based on responses. Cascading questions in survey123, do hide questions based on values picked during the survey. This is done in the Survey123 app, hence the capabilities do not extend to the service layer. You could probably work on a custom app to provide this capability, but it isn't available out of the box currently. Thanks for the detailed use case, please log an idea on the ideas site for tracking, but I will discuss this further with the larger team. Thanks, Kelly

Hi Jeff, Great observation. You are right in that Esri is able to update a vector tile service while maintaining the Item ID. This functionality is different in ArcGIS Enterprise than in the scripts in the last post, so I have branched this to make this specific solution more easier to find for others. If you are using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 or above, there is functionality called Replace Layer. You can do this through on the item page. http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/use/manage-hosted-tile-layers.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_CF8695C829AD41379E66E8D… (Please note this is not available with ArcGIS Online currently Oct. 2018) Additionally you can make this change programmatically using the Python API: arcgis.gis module — arcgis 1.5.0 documentation OR explore this option through the REST API: https://developers.arcgis.com/rest/users-groups-and-items/replace-service.htm Let me know if you have questions or if this helps with your workflow. Thanks Kendell, Let me know how that works for you. I wasn't adding additional fields except for the reason type when I tried editing. Let me know if you are still running into the issue and I can test again with your workflow. -Kelly

Hi Bill, I put together a sample of what I think you want to do from a pest inspection standpoint (with some creative actions). I built the layer in ArcGIS Pro. http://arcg.is/1zODbm Can you give this a test and see if this is what you are trying to accomplish? The idea is you can pick a specific pest species to inspect and then pick from some predefined actions that are different depending on the species selected. -Kelly

HI Bill, This isn't possible through Arcade currently. It is possible to set up subtypes and publish them to ArcGIS Online through ArcGIS Desktop. Another option that may get you up and running is to create the data layer through Survey123. This product has a slick way of creating dependent subtypes that can be consumed across the platform. Cascading and external selects—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2015/10/22/cascading-selects-and-external-selects?sr=search&searchId=3a704e86-256a-462c-9487-4fbcc18dfc29&searchIndex=0 Let me know if this gets you up and running. -Kelly

Hi Pat, Try unzipping the tile package on your desktop. You will then be able to bring the tiles into a desktop client (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro). Try verifying if they are in fact created before publishing. Is scale dependency set on the data in the original map? As publishing from a tile package doesn't cost credits for publishing, your available credits won't have an impact on being able to unpack these. I'd highly recommend getting in touch with support so they can help troubleshoot the specific issue.

Hi Amber, Thanks for clarifying, I also think I misread your initial email. Can you confirm that you are using Enterprise logins that are set up to join automatically? If so, this isn't currently possible. I'd suggest logging an Idea on ArcGIS Ideas. I'll document the requirement to consider with the team, but it is always helpful to have this discussion with other users on the ideas site so we can consider multiple use cases. -Kelly

How did you publish the layer? Did you publish from a tile package or generate the tiles automatically in ArcGIS Online? if you published from a tile package, it's possible that the tiles at the large scale were never generated, so that may be something to look into. If you generated the tiles automatically, did you try to manually create the tiles or zoom to where the tiles should be located? -Kelly
