We’re getting closer to the Esri UC 2023! If you would like to plan your agenda, the UC Event Map is now live on uc2023.esri.com

With the UC Events Map you can:

  • Search for sessions, presenters, exhibitors or Esri showcases
  • Generate turn-by-turn directions to and from event locations in the San Diego Convention Center, Marriott Marquis, and Hilton Bayfront.
  • View walkable and accessible routes
  • Get an estimated travel time
  • Transfer directions from the directory kiosks to the Esri Events App via QR Code
  • View your scheduled sessions by day on the UC Event Map on uc2023.esri.com

As we get closer to the UC, the map will be available in the Esri Events App for on-site navigation, and there will be directory kiosks around the conference with the map as well.

Guess that means you can close out my idea about this from last year 😉. Again, thanks for doing this.

Sorry for the frequent posts. I have been diving into this application and love it! I love the way all of your scheduled sessions sync over and you can see where they are on the map! It is very helpful in seeing where sessions are in relation to one another, particularly gauging how far I am going to have to walk. This is a huge value add to the UC experience.

My next item of UC planning is I am currently looking through the long list of vendors at the Expo. Currently, I just printed out the list from the UC site. (list is in alphbetical order per category) and am highlighting on a print out vendors I would like to visit or am interested in. I'm then trying to figure out where all of them are on the Expo floor and try to come up with some kind of "game plan". I would like to see where all of these booths are in relation to one another, be able to track or mark off ones I have visted, etc. I can think of a couple things that could help in this area. If I knew what the underlying webmap was for the application, I could bring it into Pro and be able to create my own "booth visitation" map by selecting the booths of interest. Or perhaps have a way to select vendors that you are interested in visiting in the application and have that be visible on the map, and save this somehow. Or perhaps, the most brute force way, is allow a printing option as @BillFox mentions above so I can highlight booths on paper. You nailed helping navigate sessions, but anything that could help curate the Expo vendor expereince a little more would be awesome.
