Hi!
I need to convert Layer to KML (and vice versa). I use the tools embedded in ArcGIS toolbox to do that, but I loose the attribute table. Is there any way to convert without loosing the attributes?
Thanks,
Aza

Hi Aza,
Take a look at this blog post. I believe it will give helpful suggestions on how to perform this task:

Thank you very much, Adrian! It worked for me.

Hi again,
How about the other way around: to convert KLM to layer. You have any idea how to keep the properties table in kml/kmz file as the attribute table in layer? When I use the related tool in ArcGIS, it puts all the properties records in one field, just as the below pictures show.
Thanks again,
Azadeh
Hi Aza,
Just to ask the obvious questions here, have you used the KML To Layer Tool in the Conversion Toolset?
Yes Adrian. I dis use the KML to Layer tool in Conversion Toolset.
Hmm, that seems to be a problem. There isn't an easy work around either.
Take a look at this thread:

They used ArcGIS Explorer to make this happen and it appears to have worked.
Also, take a look at this:
They used QGIS to make this happen.
Yeah...it seems to be not very easy. I will try to use those tools. Thanks again for your help.
