GIS for Teachers was the topic of this month's "Third Thursday Webinar." This book, published last year by Carte Diem Press, was authored by Chris Bunin, Christine Esposito, Barbaree Duke, and Anita Palmer All four authors were present at the webinar, in which they thoroughly explain the book's intent, content (printed and online), and how teachers can use it to integrate and apply ArcGIS for the benefit of K12 learners.

I am impressed by the skillful way these four talented educators have collected and synthesized their years of  experience into this "small but mighty" resource for pre-service and practicing teachers. If you haven't checked out GIS for Teachers yet, start by watching the webinar video!  (Use password t3g. You can also access all webinar recordings and files.)

Are you inspired? What ideas or content do you think will be most useful to pre-service teachers? Do you think it would be (or has it already been) useful to the educators you work with? Share your thoughts below.
