Hi everyone,

I'm trying to execute a dasymetric mapping interpolation by using this toolbox developed by EPA ( here the link: https://www.epa.gov/enviroatlas/dasymetric-toolbox)

Its operation consists of five steps: 1) Population features to Raster 2) Combine Population and Ancillary Rasters 3) Create Ancillary Class Preset Database 4) Dasymetric Calculations 5) Create Final Dasymetric Raster.

As input file I used  a shapefile provided in 2011 by Italian Institute of Statistic and as acillary data CORINE Land Cover (2018).  The first three steps was okay, but when I tried to start the fourth part  (dasymetric calculations) after filled all the required fields I got this error:

Start Time: Wed Jan 19 15:59:24 2022
Running script DasymetricCalculations...
Clearing fields from any previous runs...
Collecting unique ancillary categories...
Creating summary table with the populated area of each source unit...
Calculating population density...
Selecting representative source units...
invalid literal for float(): 0,95
Completed script DasymetricCalculations...
Failed to execute (DasymetricCalculations).

I tried also to use the additional step 4 script called "Legacy step 4 - Dasymetric calculation" released by developers in case something goes wrong. In this case after filled the fields following the instructions, I got this error message:

Running script LegacyDasymetricCalculations...
Clearing fields from any previous runs...
Collecting unique ancillary categories...
Creating summary table with the populated area of each source unit...
Selecting representative source units...
ERROR 999999: Error executing function.
An invalid SQL statement was used.
An invalid SQL statement was used.
Failed to execute (TableSelect).

Completed script LegacyDasymetricCalculations...
Failed to execute (LegacyDasymetricCalculations).

I really don't know how to solve this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this?

Thank you!

The toolbox is quite old.  What version of ArcMap are you using?

... sort of retired...

Hi Dan, My ArcMap version is 10.8.2 ( I think the latest), Yes you're right the toolbox is not new, but for what I know there aren't many tools to execute dasymetric mapping in ArcGis
