Hi,
I've got ArcMap 10 (Build 2414) and am trying to use the NEAR function to find the closest line or polygon to a series of points (rivers or dams to antelope herds). I've left the optional fields (location and angle) blank and have the units set to meters.
The results window says:
- ERROR 999999 : Error executing function.
- The operation is not supported by this implementation.
- Failed to execute (Near).
Please can anyone suggest any ways of getting round this/ anything I should change to get it to work?
I'm very new to Arc and GIS in general and would appreciate any advice!
