Hello,
I have a model that converts my data from File Geodatabase to a shapefile. At 9x the Model worked fine. When I try to run the model at 10x with SP1 the model crashes in the middle of the Copy Feature operation, specifically on a record that is more than 254 characters long. This problem also occurs when I right click on the File Geodatabase and select Export to Shapefile. The code works when I force all the records in the File Geodatabase to be 254 or fewer characters.
How can we force the ArcGIS 10x geoprocessor to truncate long records when copying to a shapefile?
I recently upgraded to ArcGIS 10.
