Recently we fully compressed our Oracle GDB to bring it back to STATE 0. Later updated STATS and Rebuilt Indexes. But now users are complaining for slow performance while editing and saving.

One of feature of type Annotation is extremely slow while edit and save. Please suggest on how we can improve performance.

The more information you can provide, the better feedback you will likely get from folks.  For example, what version of Oracle and ArcGIS for Server/ArcSDE?  What version of ArcGIS clients?  Are all the feature classes slow or just a few?  Since compressing doesn't guarantee State 0, how did you verify you are back to State 0?

Not sure how it was causing slowness but after compressing the gdb AGAIN the issue seems to be solved. Only one of FC was culprit..

After compressing the GDB, I used to query SDE.COMPRESS_LOG to check compression status and SDE.VERSIONS table to check the DEFAULT state. From there I finds STATE_ID of the default version.

Thank you for your assistance.
