In recognition of their achievement, Esri-certified individuals now receive digital badges in place of the emblems that were used when the program publicly launched in 2011. Digital badges feature metadata that allow others (including prospective employers) to immediately verify Esri certification information

Suzanne Boden‌ I'm a geographer in search of an ESRI technical certification in application development that progressing along a track designed to start from the bottom-up for people with zero programming experience.  Specifically, I am looking to develop customized apps using the REST API & Javascript.  Our organization has an account, and I am able to access classes that are free or require maintenance, and I know there are Dev Labs ~10 min long that teach snippet tutorials about specific functions/tools, but I'm looking for a more comprehensive training that integrates all the terminology to allow me to understand the big picture of web development & explains the basics for a novice like me.  Suggestions?  Thanks in advance

Hi Ashley, if your budget supports an instructor-led class, our Introduction to Web Development Using ArcGIS API for JavaScript would fit your need the best. It is designed for GIS professionals who want to get into coding and does give the context and overview you're looking for. View course details at: http://bit.ly/2BTR0Gn. If you don't have the budget for the class, I suggest looking for an introductory-level book on JavaScript web development--there are many to choose from.
