Greetings,

We have 2 systems, each system has own arcsde geodatabase.

The basic situation is:

our side : child, arcsde version 10.1

the other side: parent, current arcsde version 10.1, soon will upgrade to 10.2.2.

Now our side using replica to synchronize the schema and data from the parent side.

I know we cannot use replica again, but we still need to synchronize the schema and data from the parent side,

What is the best way to do the synchonization?

Thanks a lot!

Upgrade your sde geodatabase to 10.2.2, to continue using replication.

Hi Asrujit,

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately our customer won't upgrade the sde.

Are they just upgrading to Desktop 10.2.2? or upgrading the parent sde gdb to 10.2.2 as well.

If the parent sde gdb is upgraded to 10.2.2, and the child remains at 10.1...then Yes, you cannot continue using replication.

In that case, database backups or XML workspace documents will be your options.

Maybe someone else may have a better solution for you..

Hi Asrujit,

They will also upgrad the parent sde geodb to 10.2.2.

Thanks for your advice. For the backup and XML, can do by scheduler script?
