Hi all,
When I use the 'Raster to ASCII' Conversion tool, my txt or ascii output file is created with comma separators.
I will use the output in another software which only reads files that are point separated.
How can I change the tool set-up (or the ArcGIS set-up) so that the output file created is point separated instead of comma separated?
I have already changed the set-up of my computer in Control Panel so the default is point separated.
Thank you in advance.
Start, Control Panel, Region, Formats, Additional... comma to point at least in windows 10
Hi Dan,
I have tried that, however, for the 'raster to ASCII' conversion tool, I have the outputs with comma separators.
It is only a problem with this particular tool because the other GIS tools have outputs with point separator. I do not know why.
Could you think of any other reasons this could happen?
This is my control panel set up:
I can't think why, unless the localisation is being read somehow
You were right about the localisation being read.
I tried changing the format to English (UK), so that the decimals are point separated as a default.
Now I have the point sepators for my output!
Thank you Dan!
Glad it worked
Hi NonOkumura,
I'm having the same problem. Where and which format did you change to English(UK) in order to get points as decimal separator?
Thanks for your help!
