Raster (.tif) disappears when zoomed out - SOLVED

I had a problem where my .tif rasters were not appearing when zoomed out.  A friend recommended that I go into Properties-->Display-->Resample during display using: and change this to "Majority".  Solved my problem.  Hope this helps someone.
