Having seen demos of ESRI 10 and 10.1 the speed of the Mosaiced datasets seems very good. However it appears that to use this type of mosaicing you need an ArcEditor license.
So given that we can only use ArcGIS Engine what is the best method to Mosaic a set of Rasters. At the moment we use Raster Catalogs and the Mosaic To New Raster tool. This does take a long time. Is there a better way? But remeber we can only use ArcGIS Engine.
