we have over 250 rasters of 1937 imagery to mosaic but we are having problems making it seamless.

the flight lines were not flown at the same elevations. is there any way to create a seamless mosaic?

are there errors? do they have spatial references?  There is an analyser section in this link,

for some reason the bit signature changed during the mosaick process. that was the major error i recieved which i think is why it did not turn out seamless.

You can put rasters with different pixel depth or different number of band in a mosaic but it usually looks bad.

You better change all your rasters into 3 band true color (8 unsigned bit) and then create the mosaic.

The CopyRaster GP tool can help you to do it.

Have fun
