We periodically have to change Oracle passwords. I update the password in ArcCatalog. I then open ArcMap, and it runs a rapid-fire approach at the old Oracle password. Which after 3 attemps locks the Oracle username. This is proving extremely frustrating to continually reset the locks on multiple users everytime we have to change Oracle passwords.
Its unnecessary for ArcMap it to try a connection password over-and-over until it locks.
Is there a way for ArcMap to try a connection password only ONCE? Then let the user manually correct the paths (red exclamations).
