bug: corrupted polygons when converting a polygon-shape to CAD

Hi,

When I convert a polygon-shape to CAD (with ArMap 9.3.1 toolbox: export to CAD) I get the following problem:
Gaps in the polygon shape, that are surrounded by one polygon (p.e. a flood area with depth 0.5m) are automatically filled in the resulting CAD. So basically you can say, after converting I receive more (unwanted) polygons that I had before.

Alternativly I tried to use the Arcview 3.3 extension "export DXF w/Attributes" but it resulted in the same bug.

Is there another way to convert my polygons to CAD?

Hola,

I would suggest moving the dataset into a File Geodatabase, and then running the Check and Repair Geometry. These tools will assist in isolating any errors or issues with your data, and then attempt to correct them. You can then look to use the same Export to CAD tool or I would suggest using the Data Interoperability Extension Tool. If this tool is not available within your organization??s extension, you are always able to download it and use it during the evaluation period. Please let us know if you have any further question, you are always welcome to submit a Support webform being current with your maintenance. Gracias!
