Story Map Troubleshooting - photo name, caption and color fields incorrect

Hello,

As soon as I created a story map using a base map an error message popped up saying the following:

The drop-down menus only had options for "OBJECTID", "CreationDate", "Creator" etc. Another story map on our account does work, and has the correct dropdowns ("Name", "Description", etc.)

I found this old thread that wasn't any help because it said that the problem was fixed and that making a new story map with another base map would solve the problem, which didn't help.

Dave -- Sorry you're having trouble creating a story. It's not possible to create a Tour from just a basemap. The workflow you are trying to use is for someone who already has their place information published as a feature service.

Try launching the Tour builder from this page (click Build under Story Map Tour) and follow the instructions for uploading your photos and adding your place information.
