After installing ArcPad 10.0.2 on a system with ArcGIS 10, I noticed that when I opened an existing ArcGIS project file that features using point symbols from the default ESRI style set no longer displayed properly. When I went to "fix" the symbology, I noticed that none of the point symbols in this style displayed properly in the symbol selector. All of the symbols appeared blank. This seemed to be applicable only to points using the ESRI style as symbols in other styles appear to display OK. I was able to fix the problem by upgrading to Service Pack 2.

I then installed ArcPad 10.0.2 on a system running ArcGIS 9.3 and experienced the same problem. Unfortunately installing the latest 9.3. service pack had no effect, so I upgraded the system to ArcGIS 9.3.1. This hasn't fix the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

If you'll look at my post, just previous to yours, you'll see there is a way to get the symbology to appear correctly in ArcPad. The issue I'm having is that every time I try to follow the procedure to save the style sheet, ArcGIS10 crashes. It looks like we are trying to accomplish the same thing with the same versions of the software. I sure hope we get a response soon.
