In my legend properties when I have "show feature count" turned on the number beside my feature is slightly off from what is actually in that extent. For example it shows 90, but when I manually select those features I can see in the attribute table that there are actually only 72 features in that extent.
**side note I am using data driven pages, but it still wasn't working before I enabled those
