Is it possible in Workforce to change the worker assignment after marking the assignment completed? We have a project where the dispatcher assigned a task to himself, and then marked it completed, but realized he should have given it to another worker.  Is there a way he can go back and change the status, and then change the worker? Seems like once an assignment is marked as completed the editing options are limited (can edit assignment type, location, priority, due date, description, but not change the worker). Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Hi Elizabeth,

You're correct, through the Workforce web app you cannot change the Worker associated with an assignment once it's Completed.  This is by design.  Couple ideas on how you can handle this scenario:

  1. Use the ArcGIS Home app to edit the assignment; you can change it's status so that you can re-assign it in the Workforce web app
  2. Create a new assignment with the same information as the Completed assignment to be given to the Worker.

Thanks, Craig. We'll look into ArcGIS Home. I ended up going into the assignments layer in AGOL, adding to a new web map with full editing control, and then adjusted the status on the assignment.

Thanks for your quick answer!
