Our remote server that is holding the database for WFM has the Arc version of 10.2 and cannot be upgraded at this time. All of our users of the WFM database are upgrading to 10.3, this is causing the error "schema out of date". We can remedy for a short term solution of re-running the post install, but every time we turn off the computers and turn them back on the connection breaks. Is there another work around? Upgrading the servers/desktop/ and WFM on our remote desktop is not a valid option for this time.

We found the problem to be occurring because we have been running the post-install connection on a separate remote server that is over writing the tables each time we post-install.

New problem error...

Underlying DBMS error "Could not connect to server. Connection timed out"

We can connect to the same DBMS in ArcCatalog and view the tables.

Hi Amanda,

Can you check your connection properties, particularly the user properties for establishing the connection? Just make sure those are up to date.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

The users are properly connected, we found that everyone can connect to the DBMS.

Our new problem is trying to connect the post-install from one remote server to the server holding the DBMS. It will throw the error.

"Could not connect to server. Connection timed out"

Yet, we can connect to the same DBMS in ArcCatalog and view the tables.

Hi Amanda,

Is this an Oracle database? Are you using project instances?

This may be an issue that would be best addressed to support. They can work with you directly to try and debug the connection, and we can take it from there.

Cheers,

Michael
