Hi,

I'm wondering if it is possible to publish a workflow manager service to an ArcGIS Enterprise deployment, ArcGIS Server has Workflow Manager installed and licensed but it is also federated with Portal therefore all publishing goes through Portal.

Do I require a separate unfederated ArcGIS Server for the WMX service?

Thanks!

I figured it out, yes it is possible to publish a workflow service in ArcGIS Enterprise with a federated server. I just had to figure out the right combination of server url (ie. https://server.com:6443/arcgis) and user for publishing, in my case I used the portal admin user.

Hi, Heather,

Yes it is possible to publish the WMX service on Portal federated server.

We also recommend using the same portal user store in your Workflow Manager Repository. That way it allows your portal organizational users to be able to access the Workflow manager depending on their group assignment.

Thanks,

Meggie
