WAB 2.7 Public Notification Widget

Although it is great to see this Public Notification widget in WAB 2.7, I was wondering why it is when I use the selection tools (point, straight line, polyline, polygon, freehand polygon) to select a group of parcels, the search distance is applied to the geometry of the search tools instead of the geometry of the selected parcels. In WAB 2.8, can there be an option to allow the search distance to be applied to the outline of the selected parcels instead of the search tool geometry?

Absolutely, this will be an option with the next release. 

Currently, the geometry has to be a result from the search to use it.

This enhancement has been officially released and is available.  

If you would like use interactive selection tools to add or remove selected features from the map, check the box for Use selection drawing tools.

I have downloaded the 2.9 version of the web app builder and the selection by drawing tools doesn't seem to work any idea why and how to fix this issue
