Trace Geoprocessing Widget

Has anyone been able to publish a trace tool as a geoprocessing service to use as a GP widget in an app in Portal? I tried a connect trace, which has very few parameters, but when I ran it in the app I got a ton of errors, saying Implementation of this Tool's Validate is invalid. The server logs did not yield much more info.

I'm using ArcGIS Pro 2.6, logged in as the portal admin / utility network owner; Enterprise is 10.8.1.

I'm not sure if this is useful for your particular usage requirements, but have you looked into the Utility Network Trace solutions widget on Github?

This widget would allow users to run traces on Utility Network services in webapps.

Hey, Alex. I believe I did see that a few weeks back before I posted this message, but at that time I had noticed the tool was 2 years old, so I wrote it off as being incompatible. However I did notice it was updated recently, so I have to assume it was tested on the new UN so I will check it out. Thanks.
