Park Finder App - Alternate Template

I LOVE the easy to use Park Finder App template.  I only wish that instead of the content being across the bottom of the screen, that it could appear on either the right or left-hand side.

I recently ran across such an implemention (but found that it was a custom app written in Javascript) - the URL is https://gis.hennepin.us/parks/map

Could the Park Finder App template be modified to offer these choices?
