How does named users licensing work with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro for Utility Network? Is it possible to convert the named users to concurrent user for ArcGIS Pro and Extension. Secondly, Does the staging server license for ArcGIS Enterprise allows you to install two separate instances of Portal i.e. One on the Publishing Environment and other on the staging Environment and How can this be achieved?

Hi @NishantArora1212

To use the utility network with ArcGIS Enterprise, your organization members must be assigned a license for the ArcGIS Utility Network user type extension. This user type extension is included in the GIS Professional Standard and GIS Professional Advanced user types and can be included as an add-on for all other user types.

There is no need to purchase User Type Licenses separately for a Staging environment. You can use your ArcGIS Enterprise User Type Licenses with your production license and your staging license of ArcGIS Enterprise.

Hi Jack,

What about developers who have nightly automated processes like Python scripts and/or .NET console apps that update attributes or other data in UN feature classes? Will ESRI allow us to purchase an extra UN user type extension for a "headless (service) account"? It would not be used anywhere other than for a few scripts that run once a day. I understand headless accounts are prohibited in terms of sharing a license to multiple individuals, but if we need to have a separate account other than our own, with a password exposed in a script, that would mean the need for a service account, per se.
