All,

I have been tasked with updating a letter generated from a survey with the latest letterhead for our company. The survey was created using Survey 123 Connect by another employee who has left the company. I have searched in Survey 123 Connect and on the web app for the place where I can update the letter header file. I have not found it. I tried googling it and found nothing on the subject. How do I update the header for the generated letter?

Assuming they uploaded the file, go to the Surveys Website (https://survey123.arcgis.com/surveys?portalUrl=YOURPORTALHERE)

Then, locate the survey in question and go to the Data tab. E.g.,

Then, go to the reporting tab and click "Manage templates".

You can download the template from there:

Oh, it just crossed my mind. But when you reupload the template, you have TWO options which are worth considering:

  1. You can upload a new template. Same steps as above, just click the "New Template" button in the final step. This will give you another template with a new templateId. If you have report automations (e.g., Power Automate or Make, you will need to update the template in those automations).
    This button:

  2. Or you can replace the existing template. Same steps as above, just click "Update template" button in the final step. Since this maintains the exact same templateId as the previous template, no further action is needed (e.g., Power Automate/Make will use the updated template without issue)
    The "pencil" button:
