I have a team of people including myself running reports on around 1,000 records. One of my users' map background has suddenly turned to the Aerial map instead of the default map. I run the report and get the default map but when they run it they get the aerial.
To be clear the background changes when she exports a report into word.
Location: ${location} outputs with an aerial basemap. When I export the exact same report I get the default map background. Client does not want the aerial so we need to figure this out so she can run reports.
I think it uses your organization default if you don't set it in the feature report template.
Save a web map with the display you want in the report, then copy the Item ID from the URL and add it to your ${location} field in the feature report template. Make sure to share it with your other coworkers that are using the same report template, or just share it with "everyone".
