Hello,
I am facing now a new issue and it's with the reports in Survey123.
So we have a field named "Reporting Date" and I have placed the field in my template for reports. but when i generate the report the date is one day less than the date its actually reported...?? is this because of timezone? mine is Kabul Afghanistan Time (AFT) is 4:30 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time
This is how it's shown on Survey123 web.
and after generating a report it's one day less....weird!
please let me know how to fix..
thanks
Hi Abdul,
This does sound like an issue with time zones. You can set the time offset from UTC to print the date using a utcOffset parameter with the date - see Print survey results—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS
${timeField|utcOffset:"+01:00"}
Hi James,
Thanks for your reply. I am not able to use this on the date field i think...?
I keep having this error, get errors when preprocessing the template: ScopeParserError: Scope parser execution failed The scope parser for the tag rpt_dte |utcOffset:"+01:00" failed to execute ?
${rpt_dte |utcOffset:"+01:00"}
I think the offset tag is for time fields only?
Thanks again
Hi Abdul,
It does look like the syntax is correct. Could you try an alternative format (i.e., "+01" or "+0100")?
Hi James and Abdul,
Have you solved the issue? I am having exactly the same problem in the UK ( UTC -1) and the proposed solution ( ${rpt_dte |utcOffset:"+01:00"} ) seems to not work. I entered the formula into the calculation field but it returns an error.
See above the resulting date which shows June 3 instead of June 4.
Any suggestions?
Hi Pablo,
Please see the comment in the issue: https://community.esri.com/thread/217841-utcoffset-expression-in-report-not-working . Currently, we don’t support utcOffset in the report template syntax which is incorrectly documented and will be fixed shortly.
Also we will have a hotfix which addresses the date issue in the middle of the next week.
Phil.
Hi Rene,
The syntax of utcOffset is available now on https://survey123beta.arcgis.com,along with other new beta features for the next release. We would love to have you have a test and share any feedback or issues you may encounter in the Survey123 Beta Website Feedback forum.
Thanks,
Jody Zheng Liu
