Storymap sidecar endless scroll...

EDIT: This problem has mysteriously disappeared, but I will leave the post as it is in case anybody else encounters this odd behaviour. I traced it to the Web Map itself, rather than the Storymap, but other than that, it's fixed itself...

Hi all

I just checked in on one of my Storymaps and noticed that it has developed a weird and constant 'endless scroll' when you move through the sidecar slides. Very frustrating, as it was perfectly fine when published and only seems to have developed after an update. It's completely wrecked a lot of work.

The Storymap in question: https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/6b2b638ebb74460ebb0d2d4375103ac3

Can confirm the behaviour is happening in the Web Map...so maybe unrelated to Storymaps. But still, something that was not happening before but now is.

Just wondering if anybody has encountered this and if there is a fix?

Cheers

I don't see this happening in any of the browsers I've tried (Firefox, Chrome, or Edge)

Hi @TanithLives-again ,

I love this story! I'm also not able to see the endless scrolling behavior. Can you share the browser you're using when you see this? Does this happen when you first enter the sidecar, or dragging the scrollbar to different locations in the sidecar?

Hi @AbbyE_Esri and @KenBuja. Thanks very much for checking it so quickly. Indeed, the problem has just disappeared now. I was on Firefox, but it was also happening on my Android phone. A short-lived bug that came and went from the looks of it. I am glad I didn't set about trying to fix it, as I would have undoubtedly made it worse!
Thanks @AbbyE_Esri re the kind words of the Storymap - we're pretty pleased with it as a research output (much better than boring old papers). The behaviour happened as soon as you scrolled down to the sidecar and if you tried to navigate the map it stubbornly kept its upward scroll. I isolated the problem to the Web Map itself, which was displaying the same behaviour.
Weird.
