There are several posts out there with similar questions but none have asked it quite like this.
So here is my test site. https://arcg.is/1T5bab This was created in a free developer account. I made a storymap and by itself the storymap loads just fine. As soon as I add a blank webmap into it I get the ArcGIS Login Screen. Yes this has the anonymous access turned on. Yes everything is shared publicly.
Someone in a different thread ran inspector to see what was happening. So I did that and to my best educated guess I am seeing it bomb out when loading this.

Well I haven’t done anything else, literally nothing. I am starting to wonder if this is a fluke because this is a free developer account that needs set up some how. This same error was happening in a far more elaborate story map that I tore apart all the way down to nothing and then found this. So I then did it again in this empty storymap with one picture and this is what I got.
Any ideas? Thanks so much everyone!
@ChrisGIS -- Are you still seeing this issue? That story appears to load and work as expected for me. Perhaps it was a temporary network hiccup? Let us know if you are still having a problem.
