Zoom to layer extent

I often find it difficult to set an appropriate extent for maps within a storymap.   Either the map is too small, or part of the map gets cropped out, or is covered by the legend.

It would be great if there was an option to 'zoom to extent' of a given layer when adding a map, and a way of ensuring that the legend didn't overlap this extent.

Thanks for any consideration!

I would also love to see something like this! While I can see the map zooming out if there are some outliers in the data, we've experienced a lot of issues while trying to embed or add Web Maps to StoryMaps.

If there was either a "zoom to extent" or a customizable scale range bar in StoryMaps (similar to how you can set extents in ArcGIS Pro) that would be super helpful.

Usually if the map zooms far out, this is carried over into both StoryMaps and the Instant Apps. You can sometimes go to the original Web Map and zoom in slightly to capture a different view and this will help, but not always. It's especially apparent when embedding.
