Story Maps currently cannot be accessed offline. Could there be a solution for preserving a copy of a Story Map for long term digital preservation and access?
Asked in Story Maps discussion community, it was recommended that I post the request here too.

Checking in to see if there are any updates on this topic. I support academics who are interested in creating StoryMaps, but have digital preservation requirements for their research publications, theses, or dissertations.

Yikes - no movement on this since 2019? Is there somewhere else we should be looking for updates.

This is a huge issue impacting our senior thesis students who want to prepare and submit their project as a StoryMap. We have no way to integrate StoryMap content into our institutional repository in a straightforward way.

Digital preservation is a HUGE problem for digital humanities and digital scholarship projects in academia. I think there are some fairly straightfoward ways this could be approached collaboratively, but we would need Esri to be on board.
