Appending Data task Not working

I am working with the Water Solution and I need to add data to the solution. I have opened it in ArcGIS 3.0 and I do not see a task for appending the data (like I did before). 

When  I go the Geoprocessing Append tool it doesn't give me the right Input dataset to append.
