We need to create a really simple app to collect data to waste bins in our district and Quick Cature is definitely the best product for us to use as Field Maps will be too complicated for the users (the do not need to see a map).
We need to collect:
1. Type of bin (waste, recycling, dog waste, other)
2. Scan a barcode of the bin asset label
3. Material of bin (cast iron, other metal, platic, other)
4. Size of bin
5. Notes (to collect any additional info or more details of info recorded above as other)
The type of bin is used to create the buttons in quick capture as the only other way would be to add the rest of the details as button user inputs. However this is 4 fields and we can only record 3.
I tried adding the barcode to a project user input, but I can guarantee that we will end up with duplicate barcodes where users havent updated the project user input. I tried to make this field unique, but all that did was prevented the records from being synced!
Does anyone have any ideas how we could overcome this issue (as I said Field Maps is not an option for this project)?
