Hi everyone,

I'm using ArcGIS Pro version 2.8 and I'm currently encountering issues with the Auto Calculate button in the content pane of the Suitability Model. I have turned the Auto Calculate off before, just so that I can change my suitability scale in the transformation pane quicker and then manually click on calculate. I reopened my project and turned the Auto Calculate button off again, however it still auto-calculates whenever I change something in the transformation pane. This makes the processing time a lot longer.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Thanks

I'm sorry for the late reply.

We have identified that turning AutoCalc off does not always stop calculations.

It'll be fixed in a release after ArcGIS Pro 2.8

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Regards

-Steve

Before you closed the Suitability model and ArcGIS Pro project, did turning off Auto Calculate work correctly?

When you re-opened the Suitability model:

- Auto Calculate is turned on, this is by design

- if you turn it off and change a transformation parameter, the Suitability map does not update, correct?

- how many criteria rasters do you have?

- what is the average size (number of columns/rows) of the criteria rasters?

- are your data local or on a shared drive?

Thanks

- The Auto calculate button has not always worked, sometimes it did, sometimes it didn't...

-If I turn the auto-calculate button off, the suitability map does not update. However, a window still pops up (see attached screenshot) and it takes very long to load for every change in the transformation pane.

-I have seven criteria raster with an average size of 12669 (columns) x 15463 (rows)

-The data is locally saved

Also, I just reopened the project, and all of a sudden I can change the values in my transformation pane without having to wait for updating (auto calculate is off again). It seems that it only randomly works and the same applied to a colleague who worked with the suitability model.

Thank you so much Steve!

Do you know when the 2.8 version will be released?

I have also noticed a few more bugs. Would it help you to mention these?

Regards,

Eva

I still  see the AutoCalc reported issue going on in ArcGIS 2.9.

We did not have time to fix it in 2.9, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you.
