Splitting Multiple Polygons via Midpoint Snapping

I am having trouble with splitting multiple polygons in half simultaneously.  I have thousands I need to split and have had success before, but for some reason, this time not all of the polygons are splitting and the ones that do are not splitting in half.

I am using ArcGIS Pro 3.2.0, my layers and map are in the same projection, I made the layer I'm splitting the only one that is selectable, and I am using midpoint snapping.  I can't think of what else I could be implementing to make the tool perform correctly.
