Set default editing tool?

I was doing an editing operation the other day that involved my replacing the geometry of a feature in Table A with a corresponding feature in Table B.

As part of the work flow, I was frequently copying the old geometry from Table A into Table C.

Whenever I did this, my selected editing tool would change to Move instead of Replace Geometry.

Has anyone found a way to (temporarily) set the default editing tool to avoid this kind of thing? Switching back was a huge time sink.

For this workflow, try unchecking the backstage Option Editing>Productivity>Activate Move tool after all paste operations
