Hello,
I recently encountered an issue while using geoprocessing tools in ModelBuilder. I can add the tools to the model, but I’m unable to open them. I’ve tried double-clicking and right-clicking > Open, but nothing happens.
This problem didn’t exist in version 3.4, but ever since updating to version 3.5, I haven’t been able to use ModelBuilder. Interestingly, if I close and reopen the model tab, and try a few more times, the tool eventually opens and lets me configure the settings, but it’s hit or miss, and I haven’t found any consistent pattern or logical reason behind it.
I’d appreciate any assistance in this!
Hi Marjan - In reviewing this question, I did find a case from Esri Technical Support that is very similar to yours. Here are some of the steps that analyst recommended that the customer try to resolve this issue.
1. Clear the cache at the Project->Options->Display->Clear cache.
2. Change the rendering issue to OpenGL.
3. See if there was a driver update for your computer from Intel on June 18th. Turn this off and see if that helps.
4. Soft reset of ArcGIS Pro - How To: Perform an ArcGIS pro Soft Reset
5. Clean uninstallation and clean installation of ArcGIS Pro 3.5.
Hi,
I have the same problem. I tried the above option, but it still is not working. does anyone have the same issue? any solution?
What is your underlying OS? Window 10? Windows 11?
I use Windows 11.
Hi Robert,
Thank you for sharing the solutions. Unfortunately, I tried the first three options, but they didn’t resolve the issue. Regarding the soft reset and clean uninstallation of ArcGIS Pro, I was hesitant to follow those steps since the instructions said to proceed at your own risk. Instead, I uninstalled ArcGIS Pro and reinstalled it, but the same problem persists.
Another issue is that whenever I try to close a project, ArcGIS stops responding, and I have to end the task manually in Task Manager.
As I'm not seeing much with regards to this issue in the internals, I would recommend you contact Esri Support Services to see if they know of a possible solution. This is a frustrating one for sure...
OK, I will try that. Thank you!
