Without more detail I can only say:

with a spatial relationship such as Intersect and Boundary Touches etc. google the relationship option meanings for more info on the spatial relationship required.

You can also run it multiple times and narrow-down selections.

For containment.... "contains" or "within" using the same featureclass for both the source or target

You can run the Near tool with your polygons as both input features and near features. You will get two new fields, NEAR_FID and NEAR_DIST, for your polygons. The ones with NEAR_DIST 0 would be what you are looking for.
