Hi
Today I was editing a 3d multipatch in ArcGIS pro and was using a hosted feature layer as a backdrop in a 3d scene. After I was done I noticed many of the polygons were not displaying and I thought it was just the internet being slow. But they still failed to display after a while, so I checked the attribute table and there are 315 entries, which seemed right, but when I filtered the polygon feature by "Shape_Area is null", now I have 275 selected. It seemed that all the entries were still there but all the geometry data that were not in my 3D viewport just vanished.
My workflow to add new 3d model to the multipatch was to export obj from blender, import 3d object to ArcGIS pro, add a field and move the 3d model to the correct location using "move to" edit tool; at last I would append the newly imported 3d model to an existing multipatch layer. The feature service was shared publicly but I did not enable edit so that only I can make edits in ArcGIS pro. I was pretty sure that I did not make any edits over the hosted feature service but I wonder if I accidentally clicked something that caused this. If all the entries in the attribute table also went away, I'd understand that I made a mistake but only the geometry data going away really got me confused.
At this point I'll just have to use my backup but I wonder if anyone else encountered similar situations, and what could be the cause of this, so that I can try to avoid it.
Thanks and appreciate any help.
