Edit Vertices Not Saving to Snap

I'm trying to edit vertices by snapping to the red line, but whenever I try to apply edits it ends up saving itself elsewhere. I made sure the map and the feature class are in the same coordinate system. The black line is what I intended, the neon blue is where it decides to save, any advice?
