Right click the layer or table you wish to change, choose "Data Design" and "Fields"
From the Fields view, highlight the field in question and double-click in the "Number Format" column. Category should already be set to "Date" and you can choose any of the precanned formats from the dropdown

This is possible if you go to your feature class, to the field view, and then click on the three dots after clicking Number Format, and then clicking format June 2024, which will only show month and year.
You can also make it just the year, which is the selection below Jun 2024.
