Hello, I am very new to ArcGIS and I am trying to create multiple polygons in a feature class using the Create function in the Features group for a class assignment.

Every time I finish drawing the second polygon and press F2 to save, the first one disappears. I am following a guide provided by my Professor and I am sure I haven't missed any steps between creating the first and second polygon so I'm quite confused as to why the first polygon is being removed. The steps in the guide are as follows:

1. Click on the Edit tab and then from the Features group select Create.

2. Select your feature class. All the feature edit tools will be displayed for this layer.

3. Select polygon and draw.

4. Once you are done with one polygon, go to the edit tab and click save.

5. Repeat these steps after finishing each polygon.

I'm sure the solution to this problem is fairly simple, but again as I am very new to the software I am pretty much stuck. Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.
