My company is currently using a Trimble DA2 for field data locating and stakeout for geotech testing and there is some horizontal and vertical placement issues since ArcGIS Online uses the Webmercator coordinate system and we use NAD PASF83. I know I can make a map in ArcGIS Pro and publish for use in Field maps for data collection, but are we able to still use the ESRI basemap imagery if it is in a different coordinate system? ArcGIS Pro doesnt allow the export of the map to the web if it has a basemap since the coordinate systems differ.

Hi Sean!

I think you may be spinning yourself around in circles.

Try checking this info out: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/map-authoring/author-a-web-map.htm

I also recommend a tutorial on how to publish a map in ArcGIS Pro:  https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/6010a56c03ffb92c80d3d375/creating-a-web-map-in-arcgis-pro/

I don't think the things you think are holding you back are the problem. It's a step-by-step process. For some people it's easy, and for others, it's not intuitive, and we need someone to take us through the process. That's why I recommend the tutorial.

Thank you and please forgive my ignorance since I am entirely self taught with GIS. My issues is I want the aerial backgrounds from the ESRI basemaps, but I want my web map to be in a different coordinate system than the standard web mercator. That is where my hold up appears to be in creating the required basemap for sharing the map to AGO.
