ArcGIS Pro Style Version Issue

When adding style (stylx) files to ArcGIS Pro projects, I continually get the Upgrade Style window (pasted below). I choose yes to upgrade the style and add it, but then when I want to add the style to other projects, the supposedly upgraded style gets the same window and Pro says it needs to be upgraded again. You can see by the name of the style I added into my current project, that it has been upgraded 5 times and Pro still wants to upgrade it every time. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a way to resolve it?

The "_2x.stylx" is the backed-up, non-upgraded style. That's why it asks to upgrade each time- so using the style without "2x" should avoid the issue.
