ArcGIS Pro 2.8.4: How to identify where an OPEN model is saved on the hard drive?
I couldn’t figure out if there is a way identify where an OPEN model is saved on the hard drive
For example, in the screenshot below, where the OPEN model is stored in the hard drive?
Look in the catalog, you’ll see a listing for toolboxes, and your model should be in the default toolbox for your project (this toolbox also appears in the project folder). Point at it with the cursor, and a description should pop-up that provides a link to its location. Click on that link, and Windows will switch to the File Explorer at that location.

Also you could check from the Model Properties.
My question here is the other way around, if you got an open model, then how to identify where it is saved?
For example, if you got an OPEN aprx file and wanted to identify where it’s saved, one simply can go to project option and then to open. The path is there!
Then how to identify where an OPEN model is saved?

ArcGIS Pro 2.8.4: An option to display the tbx file path of an open model,
We provided two answers for your question, look at it in the Catalog in its toolbox and either point at it to see the pop-up description or right-click on it and get its properties. If you don’t see the Catalog, you can open it from the View ribbon. I don’t understand why this doesn’t answer your question, it applies to any model, open or not.
Perhaps it’s because you want the model to show up in the Contents window? But the purpose of that window is to show the items added to a map or part of a layout, and models are independent of any map or layout, so you can’t expect one to show up there.
