ArcGIS Port Problem

All,

I do not know if I am in the right area or not however, I am having an issue with the ARCgis Administrator not seeing our license server on the right port.

I checked the service file in the \bin folder however, that is pointed to the correct port that we want. I worked with our networking team who informed me that the firewall is getting a completely different port request from our workstations than what we designated in our service file.

I asked our networking team to allow that 1 port that it's pushing however, it still cannot see it. When our networking team allowed all ports, it can see the workstations just fine. That's all fine and dandy however, allowing all ports is not a good thing.

I am a bit puzzled as the service file in the \bin folder is using a different port than what the server team is seeing requests for. When I switched to that port in the file, it was seeing that port however, when the server team allowed only that port, all the workstations failed to communicate.

Sorry if this was long winded however, I am a bit lost.

Does anyone have any ideas?

What product are you trying to connect to your license server?

ArcGIS Desktop and some of the extensions however, i don't believe the extensions matter so much.
