Speed up table sorting, as benchmarked by ArcCatalog

Speed up the sorting of a table by an attribute (via double click on header, for example). I have a large table that is done sorting in a matter of seconds. In Pro, the same dataset takes nearly a minute.

Unfortunately I don't think that this performance issue will be actionable as an idea because it won't be generically applicable to all Pro users and likely depends on a number of various factors.

Working with a local file geodatabase table of 3,036,300 records, sorting in Pro takes around 5ish seconds. Here is the gif, no speeding up during processing:

Sorting the same table, same data location, in ArcCatalog takes 1 minute 41 seconds while Catalog shows (Not Responding). You can't see the spinner in the .gif, but if you wait for 1:41 you'll see the table sort.

This one falls into #4 of the pre-submission considerations for ideas: https://community.esri.com/t5/community-help-documents/arcgis-ideas-submission-guidelines-and-status...
