In the old ArcMap, when using Select by Attributes you could build a query, click OK, and find the results and close the dialog window. If you then re-opened the dialog window for Select by Attributes, the last query was still there - very convenient when you need to run the query again.
In ArcGIS Pro, each time I reopen the Select by Attributes window, the old query is no longer there. I know there is a save button that allows me to save my query to disk but I find that less efficient and just clutters up a folder with a bunch of saved queries I may never use.
My simple idea is to keep the last query in the Select by Attributes dialog window in AGPro.
I'd rather not have to clear an old query when running a new query. But if I want to re-run a query, this functionality already exists - I just re-open a previously run Select By Attributes tool from the history panel.

@Luke_Pinner it sounds like you're in this camp https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/make-quot-keep-previous-selection-and-or-field/idi-p/...
